This is an
advertisement for services
Under the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and
Consumer Protection Act of 2005,
consumer debtors must complete a personal financial management course as
a condition to receiving a bankruptcy discharge.
You may attend my Personal Financial Management course to satisfy
this requirement and obtain your
Certificate of Debtor Education.
The Personal Financial Management course
will include topics such as; Chapter
13 Legal and Administrative Procedures, Setting Goals, Budget
Development, Money Management, Wise Use of Credit, Consumer Information
and Coping with Unexpected Financial Crisis. Courses are scheduled as
follows:
PERSONAL FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Classes are held on most Monday
afternoons except holidays.
Reservations are not required.
You may select any one date and attend.
For your convenience, you may wish to attend class on the same
date as your Meeting of Creditors.
If the date established for your Meeting of Creditors is not
listed below as a class date, please contact Greg Miller for additional

The course and the course materials are provided to participants at

You must be in the classroom by 2:00 p.m. to sign into the class.
--Photo identification and your Chapter 13 Bankruptcy case number
are required to obtain your Certificate of Debtor Education.
--Parking information:
-- Metered street parking at the rate of $ .25 per half hour.
Coins or Debit card accepted.
--Parking facility with an entrance on S. Hogan St. and an entrance on
W. Bay St. $3.00 for the
first hour and $1.00 each additional 20 minutes.
Maximum $12.00 per day.

Financial Management Course
COURSE DATES, TIMES AND LOCATIONS
The Personal Financial Management Course is generally offered
every Monday (except federal holidays) from 2:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Courses are held at The SunTrust Building, 76 S. Laura St., in
the Lobby Conference Center.

COURSE INSTRUCTORS
Douglas W. Neway, Esquire
Mr. Neway has been the Chapter 13 Standing Trustee for the U.S.
Bankruptcy Court, Jacksonville Division, since October 1, 2007.
Mr. Neway received a B.F.A. Degree from Marymount Manhattan
College and received his Juris Doctor Degree from Nova University School
of Law. He was the Managing
Partner of Bond, Botes & Neway, P.C. for 10 years where he represented
debtors in consumer bankruptcy cases.
Mr. Neway has taught bankruptcy courses at the University of
Florida Law School and the Florida A & M University Law School.
He is a frequent lecturer on consumer bankruptcy topics at
seminars, colleges and law
schools.
Gregory L Miller
Mr. Miller has been Debtor Education Coordinator and an
instructor for this program since 2002.
He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Michigan State
University. He developed and
taught a college level course for Edward Waters College and was Vice
President of Training for Barnett Merchant Services, a credit card
processing company. Mr.
Miller was a Financial Consultant with Merrill Lynch and Dean Witter for
8 years and he was the founding Executive Director of The First Coast
BBIC, a small business lending corporation.
He is an Accredited Financial Counselor.
FEES
The course and associated materials and supplies are provided to
Chapter 13 debtors free of charge and without regard to ability to pay.
REFERRAL FEES
The provider of this course does not pay or receive fees or other
consideration for the referral of students to or by the provider.
CERTIFICATE OF DEBTOR EDUCATION
Participants, upon completion of the course requirements, will be
issued a Certificate of Debtor Education at the end of the class.
If it is not possible to issue the certificate at the end of the
class, the certificate will be mailed to
the Participant’s home address
within 3 (three) business days.
The Participant
or their Attorney must file the Certificate of Debtor Education with the
Court. The Trustee, or
course provider, does not file the certificate with the Court.
